February 11, 2006 Saturday: Dancing and pictures

Tomorrow Bill and I are going to go ballroom dancing. Our friends Chrissy and Paul invited us. We even had a lesson on Thursday night and learnt the rock step and the she-goes and he-goes. We are going to an italian resturant in orland first, and then off to willowbrook for are dance. Grrrrrrrrrrandmother will be watch the granddaughter from 6:15 until right before 1 am. I hope she does okay-the baby that is

It's so much fun having Bill home. Ana just loves it. (So do I! I got to go grocery shopping all by myself) Guess what? Ana was waving bye-bye and hello today! She was even making the appropriate sounds!

We rotated toys today with some of the goodies from Bill's co-worker. Okay, I know its not a real piano but at least its a start!

At nine months Ana has already developed a love for decorating magazines!

February 9, 2006 Thursday: Solution 1 & 2

The owner of the air compressor (No name mentioned) is going to build a timer on the machine, so it only runs for an hour at a time. Hmmm to me it would just seem easier to remember to turn it off, but alas he's the engineer. I guess I'm just glad he's able to fix his mistakes so they never happen again.

Ana woke up 2 times in the middle of the night. I thought I would just let her cry 5 minutes and then go pick her up, but she only cried a minute and half, and then her head found its way back down to the mattress and she fell back to sleep... yippie yeah! I didn't even have to get up. I think this is the start of a new dawn on Ana's sleeping habits. Ohhh how I am looking forward to the night when I get to sleep through the night (even for 6 hours). I see a glimmer of hope in the distance!'

February 9, 2006 Thursday: Air Compressors.

Oh, they are supposed to be nice, huh? Yeah right. Ever have one go off in the middle of the night to recharge and have it wake the baby? It took the child an hour to go to sleep. The air compressor is going in time out for awhile until its owner can make it behave properly. Good night and good riddance.

February 8, 2006 Going out Tonite

Bill and I got to get all dressed up (That meant that Bill wore a suit) and went to a dinner to sponsor the pro-life council. (It was really, really good. It's a pitty the "non-catholic christians" and "catholics" can't do more with pro-life.) I got to wear the velvet dress I bought in Cz. Grrrrrrrandmother watched the baby. She had her women's ensemble that came over, but I'm sure AP was fine. You should see her at church. She sings, thumps her legs to the beat (okay maybe not to the beat), and does everything but get down on the dance floor. She loves music. The other night when Bill and I came to pick her up after going to lovely dinner at Santfrantello's and then to Caribou Coffee, Grrrrrrandmotha had her in her lap playing Via Dolarosa with crashing chords and runs. Ana just loved it.

P.S. Ma, Ana is fine, no fever, joyful as ever didn't even cry. Only wimpered for less than one minute. Came home had her liquid dinner, then oatmeal and mangos.

Ana got to stay at the neighbors whilst I ran hither to Hobart - in a blizzard- to get my bridesmaid dress ordered for a May wedding.

I got a size 10 just in case God blesses us with baby #2 between now and then; I'll have some room for the seamstress to work with, if needed. I'm planning on having some kind of straps even if they are just spaghetti straps. I know I don't care to be a witness to the bridesmaids tugging on the most upper part of the dress through out the whole ceremony, so I don't want to subject others to a "wardrobe malfunction". On a side note: I talked with the bride (Bill's friend from work) about it cuz I didn't want to go over her head.

Hmmmm lunch. Leftover Linguine Primavera. I got the recipe off of a box. It is so delicious. It doesn't have any meat in it, so I'm surprised I even like it. But with the taste residing in olive oil, chicken broth, Parmesan cheese, garlic, and basil with an occasion gentle wave of carrots and red bell pepper it makes quite a delightful light dinner. I put mushrooms in it for Bill, although I pick them out.... of course.

Guess what? The panelling is up and Bill put a shelf in for me. Do you see the lights he put in the ceiling? They are directional lights that will evenutally be put on a dimmer.

We also got a door for the laundry room! + so all of Bill's work dust doesn't creep into the laundry and we end up wearing it!

SOME JOYOUS PICS OF ANA: She really likes to be apart of the action

February 8, 2006 LAUNDRY LIST: Alright, considering all the other Koc-couples have a blog!

30 seconds after Ana woke up. Isn't she a happy baby? We are so thankful to God for our special blessing. She has two teeth coming in the top.

Bill is home for this week working on the house... yeah!!

Everyone likes having Bill home. Even Kitty-Kitty! He woke up early to continue working on the laundry room, and then when Ana and I woke up, he came upstairs to wish us a happy morning.

THE NEXT WORK ZONE.... THE LAUNDRY ROOM!
It all started with a huge 500 pound cement tub that needed to be removed. And it got more exciting as ideas came together. Do you see the ugly pipe that is hanging in the middle of the room?

We got new cabinets, redid the gas line for the dryer, hanging lights with a hidden "on" switch, painted floor, & painted walls, redid piping for the sump pump. Speaking of sump pumps we got a new sump pump that is below the floor, so I don't have to look at the ugly thing. Bill also redid the dryer vent, so the dryer could be where I wanted it...next to the washing machine!

Because the ugly pipe that was hanging overhead, i.e. "the sump pump pipe" needed to be repositioned, Bill cut out the dry wall and put in pvc pipe instead. I really wanted it to be closer to the ceiling, but they only sell 45 degree elbows! But at least the majority of it is going to be hidden behind the dry wall with panelling.
More redone sump pump pvc piping near the floor.

One happy baby because the laundry room is getting done... well that probably isn't true. But she does like her new John Deere tractor. One of the guys at Bill's work gave it to us. It's so much fun getting cool stuff!
